The Weekend Menu

Father's Day Edition

Welcome to the first installment of The Weekend Menu, presented by St. Lawrence Grill Works.

As a quick introduction, we are a husband and wife team in the process of building our first business. A business that offers heirloom quality grill tools that are inspired by a set that was passed down to me by my grandfather. We’ve named our company St. Lawrence Grill Works in honor of the patron saint of cooking. St. Lawrence was an early Christian martyr with a strong sense of humor and love of the community. We hope he’d approve.

Over the next few weeks we will share more of the origin story so please stay tuned and if the spirit moves you, forward this email to your friends & family.

We’d like to wish all the dads out there a very happy Father’s Day. We are so grateful to have you as part of the St. Lawrence Grill Works community as we’re getting started.

Here are a few things worth checking out this weekend.

Something fun to watch:

  • Yeti Built for Generations- The folks that make great coolers also put out some solid mini-documentaries. This one tells the story of Matt Horn and a smoker that was passed down from his grandfather. It’s a story that resonates with us here at St. Lawrence Grill Works.

Tasty dessert to try this weekend:

Last minute gift ideas for dad:

  •  Franklin Barbecue Book - This is great for anyone looking to get started with smoking meat or to step up their brisket game. It’s a Father’s Day gift I received a few of years ago, and I love it. Aaron Franklin runs one of the best BBQ restaurants in Texas and in this book he covers everything you need to make great BBQ at home. He’s also put out books on Steak and Grilling, if that’s more your style.

  • Goodr OG Sunglasses - These shades can handle anything you can throw at them. Great for runs, bike rides and looking like a boss while you man the grill. They never slip and are super comfortable.

Hope y’all have a great Father’s Day Weekend!

Cheers,

Matt
