Happy Thanksgiving + Gift Guide for Dad

Welcome to the latest edition of The Weekend Menu, presented by St. Lawrence Grill Works.

We want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoy this time with family and friends giving thanks to God.

Here are a dozen things worth checking out as you start looking for gifts for Dad this year:

  1. SLGW Grill Tools — I am a little biased on this one but, they are pretty great. Plus we’re running a 10% discount right now so check it out.

  2. Tecovas Boots — A good pair of cowboy boots can last for decades and be worn in almost any situation.

  3. Pocket Knife — I have carried an Opinel no. 7 for years and always get compliments on it.

  4. Sun Glasses — Goodr are my go to shades because they look great, stay where they’re supposed to and are affordable. If you’re looking for something fancy for dad, Randolph Engineering makes some pretty slick aviators that actual aviators wear.

  5. Jacket — The Flint & Tinder trucker jacket is on my wish list. It has a classic design and gets better with age.

  6. Sous Vide — A sous vide cooker allows you to cook food to precisely the temperature you want without much hassle.

  7. Hunting/fishing trip —  An excursion into the great outdoors can be an amazing way to spend time with the old man.

  8. New Grill/Smoker/Griddle — We shared this link a while back and it’s a handy guide if you’re shopping for a grill. I’m personally hoping to get a griddle for Christmas this year.

  9. Saddleback Leather Goods — I’ve used this wallet for a long time and it continues to get better. They also have awesome messenger bags and brief cases. I love the company slogan, “they’ll fight over it when you’re dead”.

  10. Introductory Flight — If Dad has been quoting Top Gun, maybe he’s trying to hint that he’d like to try flying. A short introductory flight may be just the ticket.

  11. Books — It’s hard to go wrong with a biography. Teddy Roosevelt is a personal favorite.

  12. Tools — There’s a good chance that he’s been wanting something from the hardware store. Maybe just ask.

Hope this helps you as you plan your Christmas shopping. Thanks for being part of the St. Lawrence Grill Works Community. We appreciate you!

Cheers,
Matt
