Here are a few things worth checking out this weekend: 

1. Monty Don is the man — You don’t have to be into gardening to enjoy these videos. Monty Don is a master gardener who leisurely explores the most beautiful scenery the world has to offer. It’s fantastic. When things get stressful I often turn on his video about Italian gardens, and suddenly all is well.

2. Best gardens in the US — Watching Monty Don has us planning dates to the local arboretum and botanical gardens. This list has some spectacular destinations around the United States. 

3. Coq au Vin — This classic French dish has been on my to-do list for a long time. Now that we’re getting into colder weather this seems like the perfect time to give it a shot. For those who prefer the longer version, here is Julia Child’s rendition of the dish.
