The Weekend Menu

Groundhog Day + Philosophy of Bill Murray

Welcome to the latest edition of The Weekend Menu, presented by St. Lawrence Grill Works.

Happy Groundhog Day! As a UD grad, I have a special place in my heart for Groundhog Day. It brings back fond memories and reminds me of the fantastic movie starring Bill Murray, who is one interesting guy. So today’s edition is heavily influenced by the film and its star.

We are at work getting new products developed and aprons screen printed. Once things are ready, y’all will be there first to know.

Here are a few things worth checking out this weekend:

  1. The Tao of Bill Murray — This book sits proudly on the shelf at home and is a fun read that chronicles many of the wild stories involving Bill Murray. It also breaks down the philosophy of how he operates. I highly recommend it.

  2. Angel Food Cake — In case you want to recreate the scene from the diner in which Bill eats a slice of cake in a single bite.

  3. “This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a squirrel predicting the weather.“ —Bill Murray in Groundhog Day

Thanks for being part of the St. Lawrence Grill Works community! We appreciate you.

Cheers,
Matt
