The Weekend Menu

Website is Live!

Welcome to the latest edition of The Weekend Menu, presented by St. Lawrence Grill Works.

We are excited to share that our website is now live, and we are taking orders! Getting our business up and running has been a labor of love, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of many friends. Thanks so much for the encouragement and support.

We’ve already sold out of our canvas aprons and are working to restock as soon as possible, but get your orders in now to make sure you get what you’re looking for.

Here are a few things worth checking out this weekend:

  1. Smoked Turkey — Around our house there are two turkey traditions at Thanksgiving. The first is that the turkey should be smoked on the barbecue pit and not roasted in the oven. A smoked turkey, when done right, is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Our second tradition is Turkey Gumbo the day after Thanksgiving.

  2. Turkey Gumbo — Turkey Gumbo is the best way to enjoy leftover turkey. My granny is from south Louisiana, and she deserves the credit for this one. I would share her original recipe… if it were ever written down. This particular recipe comes from an amazing chef in my hometown of Houston.

  3. “To be grateful is to recognize the Love of God in everything.” —Thomas Merton

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for being part of the St. Lawrence Grill Works community. We appreciate you.

Cheers,
Matt
