The Weekend Menu

Go Fish

Welcome to this week’s installment of The Weekend Menu, presented by St. Lawrence Grill Works.

We’re back from a trip to Wyoming and feeling good. It is a rugged and beautiful place with wonderful people — especially in Lander.

It was a great place for our family to spend time together in the outdoors, and our son, George, caught his first fish while we were there! So in honor of him, this week’s newsletter has a decidedly fishy theme.

We’re making great progress with getting tools and merch available for you to enjoy. We’ve got shirts and aprons on order, and the first prototypes of our grill tools should be coming in soon. We will let you know as soon as the website is live and gear is ready for purchase.

Here are a few things worth checking out:

  1. Tenkara Fishing Rod — While we were traveling I had a chance to fish with a good friend that also happened to be visiting Wyoming. He introduced me to a cool rod that simplifies fly fishing. See it in action with an Italian master fisherman.

  2. Grilled Fish Tacos — If you do land a big fish (or pick one up from the store), here’s a delicious way to enjoy it. Recipe here.

  3. The Ultimate Guide to Summer — Brett McKay over at AoM has been putting out great content for years. This list pulls together a lot of past articles to help make this a great summer.

  4. "There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot." - Steven Wright
